Vo's Nails

I want to start this review off by saying, I have been coming to this salon for 6 months now. Every time I book an appointment and come in do you think they recognize me and treat me like some of their “regulars” - no. I come every 4 weeks maybe up to 6 if I’m too busy. I get an acrylic fill every time. I would also like to add that I have been getting acrylics for 7 years now. Am I a professional? absolutely not, but I know how the process should go of getting an acrylic nail service done. The lady I had do my nails today is clearly inexperienced and doesn’t know how to do acrylics. She specializes in gel (shellac) manicures. How do I know this? well when I come here with my sister - my sister gets gel manicures and always gets her, and they turn out fine. From the moment she shortened my nails and applied the acrylic (terribly) I knew it was game over. I got an acrylic fill with one solid color that was it and it took 2 hours, and it came out looking like a toddler painted them. I have polish on my skin which is now creating a burning sensation. I did really like this salon previous to this experience. Sophie and the “older” nail tech are the other 2 people I have thankfully got to do my nails and they were fantastic every time. But this lady I got today that I’ve never had before was awful. My advice, if your employees don’t know how to correctly provide a service, don’t let them do it. I will not be returning to this salon ever again. Be mindful of who you get to do your nails ladies.

Please avoid! Updating the review - sadly my nails were filed so thinly for the shellac that both thumb nails have broke half way the nail bed - it is going to take weeks to regrow the nail. I am so upset. Original view - My daughter and I visited the salon for a shellac color change. The staff is friendly and they were able to accommodate us without an appointment. The hygiene and cleanliness of the facility is really lacking. The tools my technician used (cuticle clippers) were not sanitized or even cleaned. Just straight from the drawer and after they were used on me back into the drawer. the shellac removal is done completely by sanding down the nails. The tools are dusty and dirty and definitely not cleaned between clients. I didn’t realize it at the time - the shellac application is also uneven and see through in some parts. Sorry, but I would not recommend or return here myself.
